Damla Önay's Story
After completing her studies at Kadıköy Anatolian High School, formerly known as Kadıköy Maarif College, Damla Kırarslan Önay began her undergraduate education in the Psychology department at Boğaziçi University. Throughout both high school and university, she took an active role in various volunteer and research projects, which allowed her to work closely with young people, facilitate workshops, and engage with diverse social groups.
During her undergraduate years, she spent ten months working at a kindergarten in Vienna, where she was able to closely observe the European education system while gaining valuable experience in intercultural communication and daily life. Working directly with students and families deepened her interest in educational psychology and cross-cultural learning processes.
In 2023, after graduating from university, her path crossed with C&C Canada Education, Visa and Immigration. With her interest in User Experience Design and the additional training she received, she initially contributed to C&C in social media and user experience design, later moving into a more active role in education consulting. Damla was accepted into the Psychology Learning Sciences master’s program at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where she continues her academic journey in Europe while gaining meaningful experiences related to both education and immigration processes.
Focusing on education and educational coaching, Damla is a certified specialist in the Strong Interest Inventory, one of the world’s leading and scientifically validated career assessment tools. With this expertise, she provides students and their families at C&C with reliable, research-based guidance on career planning and university program selection. By combining her professional experience in Canadian education and immigration processes with her education and life experiences in Europe, she plays a crucial role in supporting C&C’s growth in European education consulting.
Passionate about the fine arts since childhood, Damla enjoys painting, sculpting, cycling, and playing volleyball. These hobbies have taught her the importance of teamwork and strategic thinking. Today, she carries the same determination, creativity, and collaborative spirit into her role at C&C, continuing to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
